Interview with Miss Georgiaa

"Everything Miss GEORGIAA"

**Background and Inspiration**
1. Can you tell us about your journey as an artist? How did it all begin?  What are you going?
The journey started in 2019 for Miss Georgiaa. I had never made a song or even thought about becoming a dedicated artist. COVID-19 had just ambushed society & it created the perfect timing for artist & content creators. Social media was on the rise & created several ways to gain a fanbase. Luckily, I had great friend in my path that encouraged me to start the music journey, and I have been here ever since. Where to go to me is limitless. I started off as just the Artist, but quickly transitioned into a entrepreneur, author, director, videographer, podcaster, and even a Mississippi Realtor. I quickly was able to see that it is way more to be in an artist than just putting out a song. It is a job, and it does require hard work. So, to where there is no settled destination, but as high as I can push myself.

2. Who or what has been your biggest inspiration?
As I mentioned before a very special person to me, introduced me to finding my own sound. Once I experience the process in the concept of being a artist, I’ve been in the studio almost every day since the first time I’ve ever been. You may hear people say they do things for several other reasons, but I truly get up and still walk toward the journey because of self-motivation. I want to be able to see myself in all the visions I’ve manifested.

3. Were there any specific experiences that shaped your artistic style or philosophy?
As I sit, and I think about it almost all life experiences shaped my artistic style and philosophy. Mainly all my music came from cultural experiences or statistics that I spoke about in my music. I’ve always been a hustler whether I had three or four jobs or selling hair on the side. I always had a grind, but I’ve had to grind the hardest with my music career. All of those life experiences and challenges help me determine what I actually want to stand for.

4. Do you have formal training, or are you self-taught?
I have been completely self-taught on this entire journey. In fact, I’ve learned so much and research that I have been able to start my own record label and management services as well known as Hustleholic Management & Brand. I created the
company to help independent artists like me learn how to use their resources and network.

5. Are there any other artists or movements that have influenced your work?
I’m inspired by all the artists that I’ve listened to or met along the journey. I learn something about sound, preparation, or different writing techniques. I like to be a sponge to soak in everything I can from anyone.

**Creative Process**
6. How do you approach starting a new piece?
It’s always in the moment for me either I’m using a beat as a coping mechanism or I’m listening to a beat and I can literally hear the words before placing them. But I like to start with the craziest thing I can think of.

7. Can you walk us through your creative process?
I am a writer, so I often like to write down my ideas. I plan. Basically, I literally just hear something and go with my first intuition or vision. I’m always open to the feedback around me, so I don’t have a problem with working with a team either, but most of the time I’m going with what I see.

8. What materials, tools, or techniques do you prefer?
I honestly don’t have any preferences right now to the materials, tools, or techniques that I like to use. As long as I can work with it, I can make the best I can with it. As I mentioned before I created Hustleholic Management and Brand to help artists use the resources that they have around them. So give me whatever you can give, and I can use it.

9. How do you overcome creative blocks or challenges?
I overcome creative blocks by keeping my mind clear, networking, & researching.

10. How do you decide when a piece is finished?
I just feel like when it’s done it’s done, and you know I don’t like to overdo it. I like to keep things short and simple, so people can revisit. I do make longer projects but straight to the point is my favorite.

**Artistic Style and Themes**
11. How would you describe your style or aesthetic?
I’m original. Raw & uncut. I share with the people exactly who I am so they can pick out your favorite qualities of my personality and craft.

12. Are there recurring themes or messages in your work?
The message behind all of my work is hustle. You have to grind. You have to get up & You have to go get it. You have to make a way for yourself. A hustler doesn’t give up. They just keep finding better ways to hustle or become an expert at their hustle.

13. Do you experiment with different mediums or stick to one? Why?
I’m open to crossing new bridges and opening new doors. Why not? Any genre network in any category as long as it fits my personality and character.

14. How has your style evolved over time?
I will say my style has always been the same. Remaining authentic cu and being exactly who I want to be. I haven’t changed that in the process. I may have elevated, but I’ve always stuck to perfecting my craft without limits.

15. Do you create with a specific audience in mind, or is it more personal?
I don’t try to attack a particular audience. It is more personal for me. I do feel like whoever can relate and whoever my light can touch will make their decision if I’m someone they would like.

**Inspirations and Influences**
16. What roles do your surroundings or culture play in your art?
My surrounding and cultures play a huge part in my art because of the weight they hold with even my morals and mindset.
